Anua: 8 Hyaluronic Acid + Squalane
The “Moisture-Lock” Cleansing Specialist
What it is good for: Deeply purifying pores without stripping the skin’s natural oils. It is specifically designed to provide 72-hour moisture retention and significantly reduce redness caused by dryness.
Ideal Skin Type: Dry, dehydrated, and sensitive skin. It is also Fungal Acne Safe, making it a rare find for those with malassezia-prone skin.
Key Ingredients:
8 Types of Hyaluronic Acid: Different molecular weights (small to large) that hydrate both the surface and the deeper layers of the skin.
Squalane: A plant-derived lipid that mimics your skinβs natural sebum to soften texture and prevent water loss.
Ectoin & Ceramides: These work together to “shield” the skin from environmental stress and repair a broken barrier.
Zinc PCA: Helps balance oil production so your skin is hydrated but never greasy.
How & When to Apply
This is a Water-Based Cleanser. In the Korean 10-step method, this is your second step.
What Hour:
AM: Use it alone to wash off nighttime sweat and oils. It creates a “plump” canvas for makeup or SPF.
PM: Use it as the second step of a Double Cleanse (after an oil cleanser) to ensure all sunscreen and debris are gone.
The Application Method:
Lather First: Dispense 1β2 pumps into wet hands. Rub your palms together until a rich, creamy foam or gel-lather forms. Never apply the raw gel directly to a dry face.
60-Second Rule: Massage the foam onto damp skin in circular motions for a full 60 seconds. This gives the 8 types of Hyaluronic Acid enough time to actually “grip” onto your skin cells.
Lukewarm Rinse: Rinse with lukewarm water. Avoid hot water, as it can neutralize the hydrating effects of the Squalane.
The “Damp” Transition: Do not towel-dry your face completely. Move immediately to your next step (like the APLB Serum) while your skin is still slightly misty.
